Nicholas & Ayla’s wedding at The Lakeview by Carmen’s was one of those days that sticks with you—the kind where you catch yourself smiling behind the camera because everything just feels right.

We started the day with getting ready. Ayla was at the beautiful C Hotel just a few minutes away, surrounded by her bridesmaids and that perfect blend of nerves and excitement. The room was filled with light and laughter, and Ayla looked absolutely radiant as she stepped into her dress. Nicholas got ready at home, keeping things relaxed with his groomsmen—laid back, but ready for the big moment.

Their ceremony on the beach behind The Lakeview by Carmen’s was truly something special. Just before it began, the clouds rolled in, giving us a break from the summer heat and blessing us with soft, even light (a photographer’s dream!). A gentle breeze picked up off the lake and rustled through the palm trees and floral arch, giving everything a natural, cinematic feel.

But what really made it unforgettable was the emotion. Nicholas & Ayla wrote their own vows, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. You could hear the love and intention in every word. I caught glimpses of parents wiping away tears, guests holding hands, and wedding party members smiling through the emotion. The whole moment felt so grounded and real—like time had slowed down just for them.

After the ceremony, we explored the grounds around The Lakeview by Carmen’s for portraits. The waterfront backdrop and nature around the building gave us so many great spots to work with. Nicholas & Ayla were naturals—constantly laughing, sneaking little kisses, and making each other light up. It’s always so fun to capture couples who are just genuinely having the best time together.

The reception? Packed with energy. From the heartfelt speeches to the full dance floor, you could tell this group came to celebrate. Every moment felt effortless and full of love.

Nicholas & Ayla, thank you so much for having me as your wedding photographer. Your day was filled with genuine joy and so much love, and I feel lucky I got to be the one to capture it all.
