Whitney & Simon’s winter wedding was the perfect blend of cozy and classy, with a little greenhouse heat and a lot of love. From tropical vibes at Gage Park to waterfront views at The Lakeview by Carmen’s, this day was packed with joy, laughter, and just the right amount of winter chill.
We kicked things off at the C Hotel, where Whitney was getting ready with her crew. The room was full of cheery vibes, big smiles, and that kind of giddy energy that makes it easy to get those joyful, candid shots I love. No nerves—just excitement!
Next, we headed to the Gage Park Greenhouse for their first look and all the portraits. I’ll be honest—walking in felt like a slap in the face (in the best way). SO. HOT. The sun was beaming through the glass and after stepping out of a chilly Ontario winter, it was like walking into a tropical vacation. I was basically sweating through my camera strap, but it was 1000% worth it. The first look was emotional and sweet, and we knocked out wedding party, family, and couple photos with some lush greenery and steamy light—total magic.
From there, it was off to The Lakeview by Carmen’s for the ceremony in the ballroom. I love this spot—those lake views are something else, even in the winter. The ceremony was heartfelt and fun, with just the right number of happy tears and inside jokes.
We braved the chilly breeze outside by the water for some quick golden hour photos (shout out to the couple who powered through the cold—you crushed it), and then it was back inside The Lakeview by Carmen’s for the reception. Speeches were sweet and hilarious, first dances were full of feeling, and once the party got going—yep, the dance floor was packed.
Whitney & Simon, thank you for being absolute gems. It was such a joy to document your day, and I’m so grateful you had me there as your photographer!
