Leah & Peter’s wedding day at the Royal Botanical Gardens Rock Garden was one of those days that just flows perfectly from start to finish.
We kicked things off with getting ready coverage as per usual. Peter first, then over to Leah and the girls at a bright Airbnb off Hess Street in downtown Hamilton. The vibe was relaxed, excited, and full of those in-between moments that always end up mattering just as much as the big ones. Final touches, laughter, and that growing anticipation before everything begins!
From there we headed to the gardens for their first look at the Royal Botanical Gardens Rock Garden. It was such a great moment - simple, emotional, and completely them! After that we rolled right into wedding party photos and couple portraits. The energy was high, everyone was in a great mood, and we had way too much fun with it. I especially loved playing around with veil shots here - the movement, the texture, and the garden backdrop made it effortless to create some of my favourite frames of the day. The gardens were looking incredible as always, even with a hot June sun beating down on us!
Their ceremony took place outside on the lawn at the Royal Botanical Gardens Rock Garden with the tulips still adding a pop of colour behind them. It was a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony with so many genuine reactions from family and friends - the kind that are impossible to fake and even better to photograph.
During cocktail hour we moved into family photos, keeping things smooth so everyone could get back to celebrating quickly. Then into the reception where the energy shifted into full celebration mode.
Of course, we had to sneak out again for golden hour portraits at the Royal Botanical Gardens Rock Garden. The light came through perfectly and gave us that warm glow that just wraps everything up in the best way. Some of my absolute favourite images of the entire day came from those few minutes outside.
We ended the night the best way possible - a packed dance floor, big smiles, and zero hesitation from anyone to fully enjoy the moment!
